Strengthening the nonprofit ecosystem in Palm Beach County

This is the sub heading.

Thanks to the Palm Beach County (PBC) Collaborative and Catchafire, local organizations are experiencing transformative growth and saving significant resources. With the support of seven incredible funders, we've launched the Palm Beach County Capacity Building Initiative to empower local organizations and create lasting community impact.

About the partnership

The PBC Capacity Building Initiative is made possible by the generous contributions of our dedicated funders:

  • Allegany Franciscan Ministries
  • Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County
  • Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties
  • The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation
  • Palm Health Foundation
  • Quantum Foundation
  • United Way of Palm Beach County

Together, these funders have partnered with Catchafire to support nonprofit organizations in the greater Palm Beach County area by connecting them to pro bono consultants wanting to help them with fundraising, HR, and marketing needs.

Nonprofit organizations have access to Catchafire’s innovative virtual platform and programming. These resources leverage a network of more than 100,000 skilled volunteers to help with needs such as website development, strategic planning, professional development, and other areas of critical work.

Impact in Palm Beach County

Catchafire has been an amazing asset to our organization with its ability to connect us to other professionals and industry experts. Through these connections, we've been able to complete projects, grow our reach, and help more of our local residents in need.

With the second year of the program underway, this collaboration is a game-changer for the Palm Beach community. The partnership has already made an astounding impact, with over $1.3 million nonprofit value created for over 100 Palm Beach County nonprofits, thanks to the dedication of Catchafire volunteers who have contributed over 7,000 hours of their time. Nonprofits have received support in critical areas such as translation, social media, and finance. Top communities served include children and youth, women and girls, and the local low-income community.

But the real success story is how local nonprofits are thriving and expanding their capacity through Catchafire. Several of them are developing ongoing relationships with volunteers on the platform, boosting their capacity and technical skills while nonprofit staff focus on serving the local community.

Catchafire enables my staff to extend their reach to be able to continue to provide quality service to the community – projects that Catchafire can handle for us enables staff to focus on direct service.

Thanks to the support of volunteers on Catchafire, these nonprofits are able to optimize their operations and focus their efforts on advancing their mission and direct service work. We look forward to growing the program to support even more nonprofits in the Palm Beach County region.

The communities we serve are directly impacted because staff and administration have more time and resources to invest in the mission of our organization. Multiple volunteers have served with us on multiple projects.

Catchafire has been such a great source of support. We are building our foundation from the ground up and getting expert advice and assistance to learn technical skills we need to succeed. We will be able to double our capacity and create more awareness in our service areas. We have a volunteer that continues to support us from afar if we need anything. We also have a consulting volunteer that is happy to help if we need any strategy planning.
