With budget and staff size as key indicators of grantwinning ability, The Cafritz Foundation set out to provide equitable access to resources to smaller nonprofits in their community.

Catchafire has been a tremendous resource for our organization. As a small nonprofit, we often don't have in-house expertise in areas outside of our content area. Catchafire has been able to fill that gap and has given us the confidence to move forward in achieving our mission.

Of the Foundation’s grantees, a majority with access to Catchafire have a staff size of less than 25 people; small nonprofits gain the most value from working with volunteers on Catchafire. Providing The Cafritz Foundation with custom impact reporting and demographic data has allowed them to:

  • Understand local nonprofit needs and trends
  • Examine areas where they can invest more money
  • Build relationships with underserved nonprofits
